He’s home!!!!

Parker returned from the Charlotte North Carolina Mission! Sitting at the airport waiting to see your boy after two years is a whirlwind of emotions. There was definitely an emotion of anger when his flight got delayed! Grrrr. On the plus side, there was another family there with an elder coming home with the last name Rasmussen. That was fun to talk to them! Too bad Parker didn’t come down the escalator while they were still there! They had lots of signs and everything. I’m sure he would have been mighty confused! haha! Dad, Kody, Jayden and I were able to pick him up from the airport. Then Kody had to leave to get back to Logan for work. Then Tarrin and Erica came down for the ice cream social we had on the 3rd. First item of business…. height check. Tarrin was nervous, but pulled off a win. We couldn’t seem to get all the kids in the same room at the same time….for several weeks! They say the forces of nature were against us….but I personally think it was some careful plotting by the boys just to drive me crazy! That Sunday was Parker’s homecoming talk (still didn’t have everyone together. Just sayin). Parker did a FABULOUS job on his talk. “Hit it out of the park” as some would say (and did say). By the end of the second week of being home, Parker was moving to Logan to go to Utah State University. He headed up there a week early to take a Connections class. The USU brainwashing continues to work. Three down…. one to go.

Er…. I mean… it was cool seeing each other again.

And out comes the drone! Dad was good though…. he waited a whole 7 1/2 minutes after Parker got home before bringing it out.

August 3rd…. Ice cream social. Unfortunately no one was in charge of pictures. But luckily we got the height competition documented.  And the cute food set-up. 🙂
