San Diego Getaway

January 23rd – 25th, 2017

Loved getting away on a trip with Jamie Bergman! Started out the trip with Oreo pancakes, the middle had Cheesecake Factory dessert and ended with a ginormous hamburger! Plus a ton of food in between! Add in chick flicks, the beach, sunshine and a beautiful temple and you have the perfect vacation right there! Yes. It was hard to come home. After we landed Monday and got the rental car, off we went to breakfast at Breakfast Republic, then checked in and then headed to a movie at the theater! “Hidden Figures”. So good! Then a yummy meal on the harbor. Then grabbed a dozen donuts and ate them while watching a chick flick. On Tuesday we headed to the San Diego Temple. Oh. My. Goodness. The Celestial Room is beyond beautiful. Wanted to stay there for forever! We spent the rest of the day along the harbor checking out the sites and doing some shopping. Then over to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Delish meal! Grabbed some dessert to go and then ate it while watching another chick flick. Oh yah! On Wednesday, we got to spend some time with Jamie’s sister, Lisa, and went to the La Jolla Beach to see a TON of seals. Boy…. did they stink! Like. Really bad. Enjoyed some time in Old Town doing some shopping and eating some yummy Mexican food (went to the Mormon Battalion Museum but it had a required 35 minute video so we opted not to do it). Then over to Pacific Beach. We just walked along the beach for an hour. There’s just something about sand between the toesies. 🙂
