Gone like a freight train….

February 4th, 2017

Miss Nissan Pathfinder has left us. Gone. We’re not sure where we went wrong. Was it the fact it’s owner/driver (cough… Kody… cough) wouldn’t ever trust her to go over 60 mph? Or was it the camo seat covers she couldn’t handle? Or maybe it was because she knew Kody’s love for her wasn’t 100% since she wasn’t a truck. Who’s to know. All we know is that she’s gone…. but she’s a survivor. She came from a generous guy Dad works with, Chris Hossain. He donated the car to Kody (who was on his mission at the time). It was his way of helping out the missionaries. Very generous to say the least from the nicest guy you’ll ever meet! She was in some rough shape when we went up to Salt Lake and loaded her on the vehicle trailer. Although the magic man (aka: Grandpa Seamons), was able to get her to start right up (something Chris was convinced she couldn’t do).  But that sure helped the loading process. She was taken down to the shop and Grandpa and Grandma gave her some major mechanical TLC. Then I gave her a major makeover. She was beautiful inside and out and ready to meet her new owner. It was love at first sight and they had a wonderful relationship…. until she realized she could do much better than her current slow poke! 😉 And then she was gone. Once Kody was over the grieving process, he fell in love with a Dodge truck. They seem to be perfect for each other. No reason to rush the relationship though, so they continue to take things slow. But maybe, just maybe, someday they’ll get up to 65 mph together.  #love
